Anhur is the god of darkness, and darkness is the friend of thieves and assassins. However Tarik is rarely heard using the names of gods except to cuss, he is not a religious man.

Personality:
First impressions, Tarik has an easy smile and a charming way about him which seems to draw people in. He is not reliable however, things always seem to go missing when Tarik is around.
People lose their trust in him quickly as a rule, however people know he is the man to find if they need to acquire something not quite legal. 

He's the centre of attention and the life of the party; but he can disappear into a crowd in an instant if he senses danger, or simply wants to make a mysterious exit.

Tarik is a problem solver, however his solution to most problems involves some kind of dangerous adventure. Trouble seems to follow him around wherever he goes.

He's a notorious thief and a liar, but if you actually manage to get close to him, he is amazingly loyal.

History:
Born in Witchmill, the only Boy in a family with 4 daughters, Tarik was always rather ignored by his parents.
His sisters, all older than him, were treated to the best education, two of them were even sent all the way to Bastien to study magic. Tarik was expected to take over the family business, his parents owned a thriving silk farm with the finest giant silk spiders in all the Duskwood. Milking spiders didn't interest Tarik in the slightest however.
Tarik wasn't even 20 when he joined a trade caravan to Lavassa, his parents and sisters never attempted to contact him after that.
Tarik spent many years after that learning to get on in Lavassa, and you can't make a living in Lavassa if you aren't willing to get dirty first. He eventually made a name for himself an independent smuggler and thief for hire, working in between Rastal, Lavassa and Trinity primarily. He can smuggle anything from drugs to exotic animals and steal just about anything for the right price.
